The
Comissão de Viticultura da Região dos Vinhos Verdes will be on 7 July in Tokyo in an action of promotion with 17 producers.
The 'Educational Seminar and Green Wine Tasting in Tokyo' will be held in HAPPOEN, from 13PM to 17PM. The program includes a talk by Atsuhide Hoshiyama - Japanese sommelier of the year 2014 by Wines of Portugal.
The Senior Sommelier of the Japan Sommelier Association will speak on the theme 'Wines of Portugal' and there will be a wine tasting of 17 producers attending the event.
In 2014, the same commission exported more than 170,000 liters of Vinho Verde to Japan, which corresponds to an approximate value of 400,000 euros. From 2004 to 2014, exports to the country of East Asia rose more than 500% in both value and volume, explains the organization said in a statement sent to newsrooms.
